Get To Know Houston's Very Own Entertainment Agency

Addison and Lydia, the founders of Nova Co., are both graduates of the University of Houston and are very talented dancers and choreographers in Houston. They strive to better the dance community with their teachings and creation of Nova Co.

I had the opportunity to meet with the moguls and ask a few questions!

Hello Addison and Lydia, thank you for taking the time to meet today. Tell me about Nova Co.

Lydia: "Thank you for having us! Nova Co. was established in 2015 and our goal and objective is to curate creative platforms, connect and network with brands, artists, and organizations of the arts industries all along while upholding a reputation as professional pioneers of the entertainment and arts industries."

What were the intentions going into creating Nova Co?

Addison: "When we first started, we had the intentions of being a dance agency, but through our journey within the company, we decided that it was so much more than that. Being that we started off as dancers, we continued to offer assistance and services for dancers and eventually added so much more to our list of services."

What kind of services do you provide?

Addison: We provide multiple services including talent bookings, project curating and assistance, talent management, project development, event hospitality, access to top dancers/ choreographers/ creatives etc, creative directing, legal assisting, and professional consulting."

Now you have given multiple people opportunities to perform, tell me what the process of booking dancers?

Lydia: "The process of booking dancers through the company is simply by sending a detailed email listing out important dates information and criteria that someone wants when seeking for dancers of performers. From there, a pricelist, conversation, and documentation is sent to verify and validate the bookings. Once all the information has been sent and received the booking, we would then confirm and send to the dancers that are booked."

Is there any other agency like Nova Co?

Addison: "Nova Company is not the only dance agency in Houston, but it is the only entertainment company like itself that offers a multitude of services catered to dancers, entertainers and creatives overall."
